Sand Pits was the go for sailors in the Hobart region looking for a bit of wave action. Head high, cross on to a touch more on shore at times, not a bad bit of fun with 4.7 in 20-30+knts . Five sailors and the same amount of Kites. Around 12 degrees was a bit chilly at times though. I did learn something new, apparently the Kiters wear boardshorts over their wetsuits so they don't rip the bum out of them when getting dragged through the shallows(quote). So it seems that it's not just a cool and trendy thing but has function as well. Is this proof that Kiters can think about potential hazards? Or is it an excuse for looking stupid
