Hello;
I am living now at Swansea and many afternoon gets windy
I love wavesailing and I was looking good spot around the East Coast
At the moment I have found: Swansea point (small waves), Scarmander and might try one day on Red bill point (Bicheno) huge waves on windy days but very gusty.
I would like to know more spots and more sailors around the areaCheers :)

Most reliable spot in summer is Friendly Beaches. The NE seabreeze that blows in Swansea @ 12 -15knots will be more like 20-30 at the Friendlies, cross onshore,great for jumping, only one negative is that you will most likely be the only one there.
Swanwick barway can be accessed from the eastern end of Dolphin Sands and is good in SW to SE winds, often see the odd kiter there.
Best wavesailing spot is Kelvedon Beach in S-SE winds, can be super good but the right wind & swell conditions don't happen very often.

Rafa - I have sailed Shelly Point (1km north of Scamander) a couple of times and it has always been really nice. You can pick your side - south side or north side - depending on conditions. I have sailed both and south side was best, but north was pretty good too - like Bellbuoy but with waves further apart.
As for how the wind works over there - if it is windy, go sailing - if it is not windy don't go sailing - it has always worked for me.

Hermitage reef can also be sailed north of Triabunna. North winds.
Buxton point in south/ south west, we have sailed there quite a bit and it is really good!!!
There are no wave sailors we know of , so on your own there.
that can be good for secret training!!!
p.s Simon has a new secret spot north of Bicheno we have yet to check out;

shellies at scamander is really good down the line when its on but the northern east coast seems to get less wind, need NNW wind.
I would have to disagree with grahem on freindlies... cross on with a nasty shorebreak.
there is a place called lisdillon south of swansea than is good apparently

Friendlies - I concur with Nick. I went to sail there once in 30 knots, wind was not getting in anywhere else. Water looked AMAZING, but there was a shore dump that meant it would only ever be a flat water sail.
I didn't bother going out.

Don't be put off by the last two comments in respect of the friendly beaches, especially from someone that's been there once. I've been sailing there since the 80's and rarely has the shore break been that much of an issue unless a big swell is on.

Yeah, listen to graham friendlies is your friend, especially exploring options up and down the beach when there is a little swell running as there are a few good little breaks.
