I'd say "Oke" (www.okesurfboards.com/) are pretty good - I have even had the same EvilTwin there multiple times.

Triple that go Ike but say you want in repaired well for your use and not for resale.

I was going to them..... embarrassed to say, quite regularly at one point.... but they did a brilliant job, advised me of cost verse appearance etc... good communication the whole way through... and the finish was almost faultless.....

Nice surfboards there too.... check em out while you wait.

Bog it up with some epoxy putty, or Solarez or Araldite with a filler or something. That will make it water tight and keep it going until you get back from your trip.

Once you're back take it to Oke and get them to do a full cosmetic repair.

I had a board that had literally died. Cracked right through the middle. Full of water. Delaminated. Rotted out foam. Choc made it as good as new (but heavier) for not too much money.

Cracked the nose of my brand new wave board... wheres the best place for repairs.

Know how you feel Tony, I am between Adelade and Melbourne so not many options, went to the local surfboard guy with my F2 for a repair on the rail, while he was looking at board i said I will take out the airvent screw while it was there, ( WTF ) he then says why what does that do.
Put the board back in bus and went home. he just couldn't understand why I didn't want it repaired all of a sudden.

After making several calls and emails I found Zak Surfboards who sound like they know their stuff. A bit more reassuring than some of the others I called, one I was explaining the construction and he said 'its probably plastic'... yeah I'm going to hand over my new board to you buddy!
All good though, I'll have my board ready for the trip... hopefully with a repair that's pretty undetectable!

I decided Ebay was a safer, more quality option!!

Dont ever use the "Knead it"... that stuff doesn't make a water tight seal. Also, it goes brittle which means that if you give it a whack, it falls off.

Better to use a liquid epoxy - I use 5min araldyte. It sticks real good, and being a liquid, makes its way into cracks, which makes strong physical bond.

Crap! For real??? Surely that stuff is okay??? It dries hard....
