G'day all,

I've decided that too many sports is never enough, so my mission this summer is to learn how to windsurf.

I've bought an old board from ebay (I know not the wisest of moves, but I don't have a lot of cash) and need a mast for it.

Couple of questions:

Where can I get a mast for my bord.

Where is the best area in Melbuorne to learn?

I'm hoping to catch up with some of you at Elwood time in the future.

G`day
Get down to Sandy Point (shallow inlet) this weekend, heaps of guys will be down there. I`m still a very average sailor so early in the season I get down to Rye where you can go out a fair way and it`s still only chest deep water, good for practising water starts, you just pretend you can`t touch the bottom, just look out for all the kites.Only problem that it doesn`t get enough wind most the time. cheers ,,Laurie

If you only had an hour or so to spare and are not far from the bayside area you could also try down by Sandringham boat club. True it is a bit on the small side but it's well sheltered and good enough if you just want to get used to uphauling / balancing on the board. SHQ do their beginner lessons there.
