Tell me how you do this?

Do you drive down from edithvale and back the same day? Or stay the night?

Looks awesome

Leave early, drive 2 hours, sail all day, drive home rooted...

Best to own a SUP as a backup, so you are guaranteed to get wet.

No wind = SUP
5-13 knots = Wind SUP
14+ = Wave sail

Sandy point is a bit of a wind magnet when there is some sort of easterly blowing. Many times, it can be 20+ knots down there and be about 5 knots here in Melb. Well worth the drive to get conditions as pictured.

What wind sup do you use?
Your weight?
I'm getting one for the exact same reason as you.

Pay attention to the rocker line for windsup. I had an early 9'6" fanatic that had very little rocker and windsurfed beautifully, but it was hopeless as a SUP - nosedived badly and didn't turn. I don't believe you will get one that surfs really well and windsurfs really well.
