Where is every one windsurfing this weekend?

Myself:
Saturday: At the SHQ Garage Sale then some house packing.
Sunday: At the WV Course Racing event at Parkdale.

Refer to BOM forecast below for Port Philip Bay.
Forecast issued at 5:10 am EDT on Saturday 4 February 2012.

Saturday until midnight
Winds East to northeasterly 5 to 10 knots and reaching 15 knots in the south, tending northerly by tonight. Afternoon sea breezes at 10 to 15 knots. Seas Below 0.5 metres increasing to 0.5 to 1 metres.

Sunday 5 February
WindsNortherly 10 to 15 knots increasing to 20 to 30 knots during the morning shifting westerly during the afternoon. Stronger squalls possible with the change. Seas 0.5 to 1 metres increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres around dawn then increasing to 2 metres around midday. Weather The chance of thunderstorms in the late afternoon.


Please note; these are not Windsurfing Victoria Inc organised event (expect the WV Course Racing Round 5 at PYC) and this post is to be used as information only. The intent of this post is for windsurfers to post where they could be going to windsurf this weekend and for other windsurfers to possible come and join them.

Woolamai could be OK for SUPs with sails or greater Saturday after 5pm.

No I think secret spot 8 could be could be good looked at ss 7 on the way but it was a bit onshore but only just good size swell

After the WV learn to wind event at Parkdale the course race was called off. In the end I sailed at Bonno with a large crew. All of us had heaps of fun on a big windy day. Regardless of any one struggling with the big gusts all had big smiles and plenty of laughing.

Big crowd at GP also. Didn't go out myself, too much for me and my smallest but there were heaps enjoying the conditions. Good day

Burst vein Feels fine though, just looks dodgy. Any black eyes?

Roy, can imagine - it kind of funnels through there, so imagine it would have got a lashing! Good way to wash your gear though

No black eyes. The knock to face from the boom turned out not to be so bad. Maybe all the sailing at Bonno over the last 20 years has toughen myself up.
