Where is every one windsurfing this weekend?

Myself: Not a lot by the forecast. Maybe some time with the wife to earn some more brownie points to use when it's windy.

Refer to BOM forecast below for Port Philip Bay.
Forecast issued at 5:10 am EST on Friday 18 May 2012.

Saturday 19 May
Winds West to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots tending south to southwesterly up to 10 knots during the afternoon. Seas Up to 1 metre.

Sunday 20 May
Winds West to northwesterly about 10 knots tending north to northwesterly during the afternoon. Seas Below 0.5 metres.

Please note; these are not Windsurfing Victoria Inc organised event and this post is to be used as information only. The intent of this post is for windsurfers to post where they could be going to windsurf this weekend and for other windsurfers to possible come and join them.

It is not going to be properly windy. I am going to sit round in my house in my underpants and watch DVDs.

And indeed there was... seemed like a mini windsurfer (paddling SUPs) convention out there today.

It was a great day and a good crew to paddle with, never seen 9 sups there before.
So is there a name for the break that we were on?

- yep, yep, that's the one... its DEFINITELY called second reef. :-) I've paddled there all on my own once, so seeing 9 SUPs there was massive. Great that everyone was of a vaguely similar standard and, given the few waves that were of decent size, super cool to each other. Heaps of party waves with everyone smiling and laughing... way SUP surfing should be.
