The full livestream is planned for the finals day, but not for the earlier heats.
Those earlier heats will however be filmed.

(If it comes together, the finals will go out as a local TV broadcast, I think.)

But the place to find the livestream for international viewers should be on Youtube.
Not sure yet whether they are going out on Facebook.

Perhaps PVB can add more details on this.

In theory the forecast suggests they could start qualification heats tomorrow (Thursday June 1st), from 12noon local time.

Awesome work Paul. Great videos. Everyone who's taking the risk to do this are legends.

Great work Paul. Nice to see the laid-back interviews and talking us through their gear.

In video #3 you show Jaeger, Hendrix and Bastien as wildcard entries but they don't feature in the heats on the IWT website. What's the story? Did they not get there in time? It's a shame. I would have loved to see them charge in those conditions on their preferred tack. I would have considered Jaeger a strong candidate for the podium.

And what about Koster? His name is down for heat 1 but no result.

Great work Paul. Love seeing all the people behind the performances. In particular Bernt is a breath of fresh air, cutting through more than some of the less engaging Type A personalities.

Living the dream Paul! Well done.

Watched the 'Fiji Therapy' session on WTV late last night - geez Kai loves a chat doesn't he... I don't think I've ever heard Ben Proffitt so quiet!

It was great to hear Kai so stoked with the day and get an insight into what really goes on behind the scenes to get an event like this to actually happen.
and that Marcilio wipe out - spectacular!!! ...but scary as hell. Hope he was ok. How much damage to his kit?

Single Elim is a bit brutal though.

Keep up the good work.

Difficult in such a remote spot. I'd say most European and Caribean sailors would spend somewhere close to $10k to get there and compete. To then get kicked out in the first round with no opportunity for a come back would be pretty tough.

They only have the spot available a very limited time though. So unless you make the heats super short it would be difficult to run a full double elimination. I think the heats were 20 minutes which is already pretty tight. Can't see how you would run a fair competition with 15 minute heats.

The conditions look awesome but the reality is that wave breaks on a shallow reef and timing is important to crank an awesome turn (or aeiral) or a fraction second being nailed by heavy section!

Bernt went for a free sail after the heats and annihilated his kit on the old WSL judging tower

Great image quality and production.
Awesome footage at 3:40 in with Cloarec & Noireaux.
Brings back a few memories of wave sailing around Fiji in the late 80s.
Back then if you tried to sail/surf Cloudbreak when not a guest of Tavarua Resort, they would send a bunch of local boys out in a boat to "scare" you away as they claimed exclusive rights to the break.
