I could watch LS rip waves up all day - my current fav wave ripper. I am very partial to watching G Ezzy too......Both,have very distinct styles and yet are both so super smooth

Interesting to see the speed and control he gets out of his board when using it as a single fin in good size surf. It looks to be a big single fin too!

thanks for the vid ma

Interesting to see he is riding a single fin board in a lot of the shots.

On a different note... A lot of the segments in this video are out of focus. I'm guessing this was shot with a DSLR with manual focus.

Maybe he chooses a certain board to suit the conditions on the day.

When I see someone ripping like this on a modern single fin it certainly confirms my suspicion that Quads/Twins are to some extent of a fad and a product of marketing, at least for 95% of the average wave riders. I saw a guy on the beach the other day changing out a set of quad fins in the sand and it seemed to be a fair bit of messing about. I suppose you have to weigh up the advantaged of marginally more performance with a quad against the simplicity of a single fin?
For me.... “Less is more!"

I think Thrusters might end up being the common middle ground and compromise between good speed (like in a single fin board) and turn ability and drive in bottom turns (as in a quad board).

It seems Quatro is starting to do a lot more Thruster boards. And of course Stone Surf in WA has been doing them for years.

And Bombora has been doing them since the dawn of time

GEEZE,
Sweet vid then people bring up the fin thing again?
If you like a single, buy one.
If you like quads, buy one.

There is only one thing that could improve his sailing - yellow boardies with red polka dots... Seabreeze style...

C'mon Loz... Do it
