Bit cheeky, but without a generator there will be no fridge in the camper. Just the thought of having to drink warm beer after a session :-O

Surprised the camper hire companies don't hire them out.

Are the fridges 3-way fridges, i.e. able to run off of gas?

I think a lot of campers have gas cylinders, but maybe its just for cooking.

The spec does not mention it being 3 way, so I suspect it runs off the secondary battery,

Well, if you can get beer, you can probably get ice. So maybe a cheap Esky?

Ice and/or 3-way fridges are quiet...

go buy one of those $220 120W solar pannels off gumtree.
Totally worth it!

Never thought of a solar panel for keeping the camper battery topped up. Maybe that's because here in the UK it's not quite as sunny as WA

Yep solar is the way to go, 80-120 watt (go 120 not much diff) will keep a fridge going no worries , and u wont PISS anyone off in a close vicinity with the noise of a ****ty generator, i bought a 220w solar and last year in WA ran a 60l Engel as a freezer and a 40 l waeco as fridge was gold, no buying ice and cold frothies everynite[:

I do have a solar charger that I use for my mountain biking trips away, but a quick check reveals its 7W. Not quite enough
