Has anybody windsurfed Bunker Bay by NNW when the swell is good enough to come around the cape?
Any better spot on that side of the cape in those conditions (interested in wave sailing)?
Cheers,
Fab
NNE to NNW wind is your friend - it can be VERY fun. Swell needs to be 2.5m plus - but it picks up Nth swell nicely. Straight out the front of Dunsborough gets really good on Nthly
Bunker Bay is Rubbish.
Eagle Bay pretty much the same.
Best places to sail in winds from N to NW and huge swell is from the Old Dunsborough Boat Ramp down to the Backpackers.
Thank you for the insight.
I gather the swell does not look big enough for Dunsborough boat ramp tomorrow afternoon then?
Might be some wind swell in the bay tomorrow arvo , out front of backpacker's is better on nw , boat ramp only works on northerly, can also try eagle bay does pick up primary swell if there's enough west in it .
