Welcome to Perth Phil, how long are you here? This isn't the best time of the year, when Summer comes it should improve greatly. Perth is a very spread out place, so unless we know where you are, nobody is going to volunteer.
I'd make buying a car a high priority, (you can get an old bomb for a few hundred dollars) public transport here is not what it is in Europe. If you want to windsurf regularly you need to be independent.
I'm in the swan barraks at the moment so in the central...maybe not the best to go surfing... I'll stay here for six month if i got a job here. Then I' defentitly buy a car, but first i wanne earn a bit of ozzi money.
