Just a quick FYI. Rockingham Council have just posted that dredging in the pond will begin again soon and they are also going to use carslie street to remove excavated sand. I have sailed in this area for 12 years and find that some areas around carslie street and also around Penguin island are getting seriously shallow. If you come down to safety bay for a sail watch all weed banks and every sand bank as it might only be 20cm deep.
Cheers

Does someone on the council have an interest in the dredging company. A garaunteed 250 k every two years. What a waste of time and our money. And what bacteria is living in that putred sand from the pond that they are going to dump on a pristine piece of beach.

Just when we thought we'd managed to get away from the nonsense

I hope im proved wrong but i can't see them trucking away wet sand so they will have to dump it somewhere to dry out.
