With the forecast deteriorating a final call will be made by Thursday PM as to whether racing will be held on Saturday.
Ok. So the forecast is changing regularly but most of them show a marginal breeze.
Therefore Round 4 of the Simmer Style WA Slalom is officially postponed
Ok,
So most likely date will be 24th of March for Round 4 Re Sail.
3rd - SBYC in Walpole
10th - Round 5
17th - Green Head Waves
March is always tricky to plan in.
The 24th will most likely be the final day (SBYC to approve) as the wind is not as reliable that time of year and my work roster has me home for that one
I'm hoping to have finalised all results and award the trophy(s) that day.
So even if the forecast is poor we'll hold some light wind figure 8 or course racing at best and have a bbq and a couple of beers to celebrate the season close.
Absolutely second what Josiejo said Stu. We massively appreciate your efforts and those of everyone involved including SBYC in helping us have such fun racing. Thank you. :D
OK so i can confirm that the Round 4 Re Sail and Slalom Season wrap up will be on the 24th March.
I'll put another thread up on SB after the completion of Rnd 5
Sailing will go ahead rain hail or shine with a BBq and Drinks after the racing followed by the trophy presentation
WWA Slalom Perpetual Cup, Champion, Vice Champion, 3rd place, Champion Woman & Junior Champion trophies to be awarded.
