Hi all,

Trying to look for windsurfing centers to rent gear but not successful.

I am thinking of doing some windsurfing in Australia during the second week of January. I will be traveling from Hong Kong so will only have my harness with me. As I will be flying so anywhere is possible.

Does anyone knows know where has good wind (15 to 25 knots for me)? If possible I would like to stay in somewhere I can rent the gear and windsurf at the same spot.

Thanks and looking forward to windsurfing in Australia.

Thank you all for the precious info. Any recommendation where is best for windsurfing during this period?

Thanks again.

The pond (safety bay) is a great flat water spot in a seabreeze but gets crowded with kites and windsurfers when the winds up.

Pelican point is a great place to sail in a seabreeze as well if you dont mind some chop.

I can not speak of Melville beach as ive never sailed a seabreeze there, good in a North wester though.

For your best chance of good wind and rental go for Safety Bay or Lancelin.
Go Lancelin if you like the festival atmosphere because the Lancelin Ocean Classic is on the 12th - 15th. Be quick to get accommodation there though.
Lancelin also has waves, but plenty of flattish water on the inside.
