I've just moved to Currambine and was looking for places other people windsurfing in the Joondalup area, OTHER than Pinnaroo Point? Any ideas??????

hey Alimac south of where you sail there's some inside reefs about 300m offshore any wave sailing to be had on these?
Does old Ernie sail up that way?

There's no waves at Quinns it's like sailing at Pinnas just a bit flatter and not so much like being in a washing machine.

Having said that i have been looking at Jindalee recently, it would be a bit of a pain to launch but directly out from the beach there is a wave that i have seen looking good a couple of times, over to the right of their is alkimos but i've never heard anyone talk about sailing there so not sure about that one.

I'd be keen to do a mission from Jindalee one day and see what that waves like.

Thanks for the heads up. I drove up to Quinns on the weekend to check it out, looks good. Nice place to rig up on the grass, and a cafe on top of the hill.
One question. Do you need to use a weed fin?

Thanks for the info. Minimal weed = great news. Pinnaroo can be pretty weedy. What kind of gear are you sailing up there?

I'd be supa keen to have a look at the reef off Jindalee. Can't wait for the first seabreeze to kick the season off.

Yeah the weed at Pinnaroo has been particularly bad these last few nights.

Gonna start sailing up at Quinns again soon, as for kit i usually sail my 102l Freesyle wave in light conditions but the board i use most in the summer is an old starboard acid 88l or when its really honking ill go down to a 75l angulo.

It'd be nice to get a few more people up in that area sailing there, its a great spot and i think its much nicer to sail than pinnaroo (even just for the bottle shop right at the top )

At the moment i have to work 1 night out of every 7 late until 5 but then every other night im finished at 3 and back up into quinns at 4.

Mike, Nebbian and anyone else who fancies it, the next windy night shall we meet down there and you guys can check it out and see what you think?

Meeting up at Quinnd at some point sounds great. I always feel better sailing when there is someone else around. Looking forward to it. All we need is a solid 25+ knots and it will be on...

Mullaloo
Little Island (seal island)
Pinnaroo

I'd be keen on trying out Jindalee spot.

You sail at the back of Seal Island. There's a narrow gap in the reef to go thru, just south of the island. The conditions out the back are variable, depending on the swell and tide. Very low tide can be a bit "dry" in area. I personally have sail there with almost flat water conditions and also with almost mast high conditions. It's a great spot for jumps and not so good for riding. All in all is good fun, but make sure your equipment is up for it.... it's a bitch of a swim.
