Heading up north in a week for a 3 week holiday with family and wondering whether to take my freeride gear as Denham has apparently been getting some moderate to fresh easterly winds of late. Will be camping at Shark Bay, Coral Bay and Exmouth as well as short stopovers at Geraldton and Kalbarri on the way, amongst other places.

Anyone recommend any flat water sailing spots up that way that may be good for a sail at this time of year?

I think you just listed all of them I reckon you will get a sail a few times in the 3 weeks

Can u be more specific, i.e. actual sailing spots along the way rather than just 'go to that town and you'll get a sail'. Can't imagine that Gero or Coral Bay would have any 'safe' sailing spots in a E/NE wind particularly as I'm very likely be sailing by myself! Also, haven't been to Shark Bay or Exmouth before so any tips on where to launch from in an easterly would be appreciated.

For shark bay.

There are a couple of lagoons (little lagoon and big lagoon) north of denham where you could sail in any direction I think. Easterlies will be onshore anywhere on the monkey mia side of the pensinsular.

I didnt have winsurfing kit when I was there but sore kiters out, so I dont know for sure, but just ask about the lagoons when you are up there.
