I reckon it is same sail. Why do u say its not?The bits seemto line up,look at luff part near window, preserving some of the original...?

It's not the same sail, look at the pattern of xply in the window above the batten. Two different patterns in the ?Kevlar. I agree it's just like those spot the difference kids picture puzzles. Not sure why two different sails were posted up.

Agreed. And the repair would have been done in less than 7 min which is pretty fast.

Who's bagging you? just pointing out some discrepancies. you should have labelled them as different sails. Its very easy to assume you're claiming they are the same sail before and after pics.
And your attitude isn't winning any friends here.

Hey Mark I'm being serious now, that naish board looks great. How did you match the wood? Did you put new wood in? Or did you paint it up to look like wood? Very impressive.

^^^ Cheers

Fake wood paint...... never again hahahahahaha. There is about 4 different colours from memory. I'd rather bag on new wood and have to paint a border somewhere.

On the other hand, the base colour is one I use to match the stringer on surfboard repairs so its only a bit lighter and a bit darker and some brush work.

Looks great Mark. I recently repaired a couple of my boards. I put a bit of effort into it but ultimately it is a fairly amateurish job. I'm still glad I had a go though as it has been a good learning experience. It also gives me a greater appreciation of the skill it takes to produce repairs like in your photos. Nice
