The Slice v3 is a phenomenal board and I'm happy to address any questions on it. Ive had the v1, v2, v3 and a custom and Im a big believer in the Appletree construction (and design on the Slice boards).

Would just add to take a look at Omen shapes. Appletree is making their boards. Super solid.

Appletree is very popular and proven in the Gorge. I don't think I've ever seen a Starboard other than underfoot of a sponsored rider.

The Gorge gets pretty hot (+30c) most summer days.

In my experience Starboard's light construction is not super durable.

As I said depends where as what works in Europe is continually failing here - not a shot at appletree, just general comments

agree about starboard. Their SUP stuff is brilliant but as they focussed there they became shoddy on windsurf. So now it's winging it gets more complex with different construction


They also tend to be very experimental so their light stuff can be fragile and u never know from one year to the next. JP similar issues
But with their tried n true normal sandwich stuff it's very good.

I would definitely do that!! It doesn't need to be very warm outside to burn yourself with your board while walking to the water.yes I know what I'm talking about! ??
I did not tried starboard lately, but from my lazyboy, with a laptop on my laps..the shapes look strange. Not saying it doesn't work.
