They removed the pin tail in the back for a flatter, "double displacement hull" design. I'm curious how that affects the performance of the board. KT says that this board is less corky now.

I'm currently waiting on the dragonfly Surf V2. I have only used the dragonfly V1 and very much enjoyed it for for Winging in all conditions but I found the board front heavy with my foil system (even with the mast most of the way forward in the box, requiring back foot pressure to keep the board flying level). I'm hoping the new volume distribution and box angle will remedy this.. I will report back when I have used the board.

I had the 2 previous Dragonfly iterations for winging, SUP and parawinging and now have the Surf V2 which suits me better with its shorter length for surfing.. While I haven't ridden the Dragonfly V3, the Surf has a flatter bottom, new tail, and all of the Dragonfly variants are narrower. The Surf feels much more agile in the air (112L Vs my previous 110L Dfly 2) and seems more eager to lift from the water somehow. The nose is pulled in much more than the V2 from last year, so swing weight feels much less. I'm running KT foils pretty much in the center and a baseplate shim for more rake can be helpful at higher riding speeds. I'm finding parawinging more challenging than the V2 design as it seems to track more and is narrower but the efficiency is impressive. I guessing the V3 Dragonfly will share lots of these attributes too.
