I have some Duotone fittings for DIY slick booms here in the US
Thank you, unfortunately I'm in the UK. I think I'll go with wooden homemade end pieces. What's the pupose of the bumps on the front piece and the vertical asymmetry at the rear? Do I need to reproduce those aspects. I notice other DIY booms haven't bothered this that.
Also, I was thinking about moving the boom away from the strut by putting it towards the 'bottom' of the front fitting. This would my hand a little more clearance when holding right at the front of the boom, as my hand rubs on the seam stitching when holding it in a relatively neutral position (I find that better than the front handle).
