It’s good. Really good. Only drawback that I can think of, besides a small weight penalty (and cost), is that small medium aspect foils are more sensitive and requires the A game while riding DW and carving aggressively - upwind no problem.
When going DW, and you get halfway up or higher on the mast, it feels like warp speed. Literally feels like a 20% reduction in drag. The acceleration when needed is always there. Need to slow down a bit? Just bury the mast.
The titanium’foot’ is just wild. It is 90 degree connection the size of an iPhone. Pictures don’t do it justice. No drawn out fillets needed. The wings fit snug and perfectly.
I’m super stoked on it. So much so that I just got a Tuttle 85 SR and a F4 Emona. The SR is just so radical, I feel like it deserves a Tuttle. I’m waiting on wind to test it out. If that goes well, I’ll be selling the 80SR and 85AX plate masts.
