Has anyone have experience with the Gong Slalom Ypra v3 foil- either 500 or 600?
Am looking at it for flat water straight line speed. Any help appreciated.
Cheers

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I've now been riding the Gong V3 Slalom 500 cm² with the smallest Slalom stabilizer and the V2 107 HM mast for about 10 days.
The foil has more low-end power and lift than the V2 Slalom 500 cm². So it follows the same pattern as the other V2 → V3 foils in general.
I've really liked it. My top speed so far has been around 27 knots with the 6.5 m² Virus Chase wing.
The mast occasionally ventilates or suddenly pulls to one side, but even though I ride strapless, I haven't crashed because of it. I'm trying now to learn to ride as close to the surface as possible now, so I get less mast ventilation and more speed.

Not exactly what you've asked, but I've had an Ypra Surf V2 S (600cm2) since last October. Used it twice maybe. It is fast, as in ~21kt, which is fast for me. Nervous, but less so if given enough wind. I think the sweet spot wind range for it is 17-35kt. Used it with a pretty big stab, probbly 39cm freestyle Fluid.
With the Fall winds here, I'll be taking it out more and report here anything worth. I now also have converter fuses (V2 front, V3 tail), so I can test it with newer V3 stabs.
