Personally, I wish Sabfoil had something like the F-One 7seas 1200 /1000,
Something aimed at good glide (more than the W950 let's say) , but with a small compromise for ease of use vs the ultra high aspect wings .
Haven't tried the W799 or W940, but from what I am hearing they don't fit the bill. Hopefully, a new wing will come out this winter for that purpose ?
Yes they are missing something there and that was one of my reasons to switch to the Kujira1210 and the Cabrinha Hseries although the difference between the 945 and the Kujira1210 is really smal. I tried last weekend the Seven Seas1200 and in combo with the carbon Fone mast that combo is an awesome set up, maybe even better as my Cab-H-series1200.
@Coupdevill, I never been at the Gorge, so can,t say anything about the conditions you wing, I see clips of waisthigh bumps and light wind and clips of headhigh nuking. I think when its nukin the 799 is still a very good foil and easy to use with enough glide as long as you stay closer to the steeper sections. An Higher aspect foil allows you to glide longer on a less steep part of the wave/bump.
When its mainly 5-6m conditions I would have a look at the 945, its not crazy High aspect but it has a lot of glide and foremost very easy to use. If you wanna progress and like a challenge, the W1110 and W1000 are the way to go, but they are both quite demanding, and need a new Fuse and if you are on the old system probably a smaller stab like the 399 as well.
At the same time: although SAB still makes pretty good foils some brands stepped up there game and simply have better wings.
The Fone 7seas are simply as easy to use, faster and have more glide, the Cab H series is a lot written about in the Sup foil topics are also standouts and so are the Takuma Kujira,s. (but needs a stiffer mast as the standard alu one).
