Looking for a consistent method of getting up on a parawing standing. Unable to find any video talking about this topic. I struggle with an old hip injury with the parawing pulling sideways. Not an issue with winging pulling upward.

Easy button for me when I was first learning was to hook in to my harness while still sitting on the board. Let the parawing park itself to the side hands free. Then get to your knees and grab the bar and start steering. At that point you're kneeling like after doing a stinkbug and should have no issues from there.

I kind of do a modified stinkbug start on the parawing. Not that much different than winging. Fly the parawing from the A lines in the downwind hand while crouching on the board. Use the upwind hand to stabilize myself and get to a high kneeling position. From that position I fly the parawing with one or two hands until I'm ready to launch. If Im well powered I can get some lift from the sail and go straight to my feet with both hands on the bar. If its unstable due to surface conditions or if I don't have enough power in the sail, I use the upwind hand to help push off my board and get to my feet - leaving that upwind hand off the bar can also help give me a little more stability.

I straddle the board, lean forward and stabilize myself with the free hand, bend the knees and put my feet on the board behind me and then push on the feet and stabilizing hand to get my knees up. From there just keep the stabilizing hand on the board and when ready stand up, one foot at a time. Feels very easy.
