Had a demo Naish Hatch V2 for a couple of weeks before it's release to put this together ....

Yeah looks like a great wing, they ticked all the boxes as far as features and threw in a couple extra that haven’t been done before. I like the idea of the battens that can bend in any way and not deform that’s something I had been thinking would be a good feature. The retractable harness line also pretty cool as is the hook bar.


I thought the Hatch v1 looked like a good wing but it didn’t seem to get a lot of attention on social media etc . Hard to say if it didn’t match up well to the other wings or if Naish just isn’t as prominent in the parawing space.

Anyone riding the hatch v2 at this point? Tough for me to consider anything other than hybrid and double skins now but the price point and chatter on them seems great. Hoping to grab a demo from them next week.

I had the Hatch V1, but I’ve been riding the Hatch V2 for a few weeks now.
I mostly used the 4.2m in 12 to 25 knots, and I have to say, it’s a massive improvement!
I really like how stable the parawing feels and how well I can fly it off the A-lines.
I tested the V2 back-to-back with the Pocket Rocket V2, and I found the Hatch much more stable—plus, I think the bar is in a class of its own.
I had never ridden with a harness before this wing, but I find it so relaxed that I honestly don’t want to go back.
The retractable harnass line is so nice also.
The only downside I can spot is the basic bag, but I personally don’t really care about that.

I trust Ash and his reviews with my life. One of the true sources of unbiased reviews on gear that I watch on a regular basis. I appreciate that he always calls it how it is (good and bad). I never feel like he's trying to sell me something unlike a lot of other "reviewers".

Also I think Ash runs a successful software biz for work. I doubt his reviews are about the money. He's taking the time and effort to serve our community.

I saw one review that mentioned there was some visible wear on the harness line, where it goes into the bar, and also on a few of the joins for the A lines after 1 or 2 sessions. Interested the hear from those who've been on them a bit to see if that's real or not.

Chiming in. I'm paying attention. I've filled my 5m, and 4m slots with a PRV2. But I'll need a 3m size soon. I just crossed out the POW 2 off my shortlist due to questionable high-end. When I need a 3m, we usually see winds go from 30 knots all the way to 50 (even though it mostly ranges around 35-40... so high end is needed. Current shortlist is Hatch V2, LTX and S3.

Gotta drop down to 2.7 for the S3 if you are looking at that kind of wind. I'd want the bar over the handle too. Just keep that in mind! 3.1m Hybrid could be a consideration for you as well if you want steeper upwind angles and psycho range.
