Hey everyone,
I've recently added two new boards to my quiver: the X-Surf Venture 66 and 77. These full-carbon boards feature an EPS Core with reinforced AIREX stringers to reduce torsional flex.
The ML shape feels really intuitive, with streamlined outlines, a flat bottom, and longer rails for easy foil adjustments. Build quality is impressive-the surface is noticeably tougher than brands like Armstrong or Takoon, which often dent easily.
Performance-wise, these boards lift off quickly, thanks to their longer, narrower design. Pumping during the taxi phase is effortless, and they offer excellent low-end lift, especially given their compact sizes.
I've tested them through intentional nose and rail hits, and they handle touchdowns smoothly, quickly regaining stability. Aerial maneuvers, including jumps and 360s, are a breeze-the boards feel balanced, predictable, and precise on landings.
Each board comes packaged in a sleek silver bag, along with solid, practical leashes, comfortable straps, and a grippy pad that's essential for control during tricks. Considering their performance, build quality, and price, they're easily among the top choices out there right now.
It's great to see Mark Shinn behind this design-a strong presence back in the wingfoil market.
I'll post videos as soon as the weather improves in Poland or Germany, and when we get a bit more sunshine again. I'll also write more soon about the sophisticated build technology of these boards.
For reference, I'm 96 kg wet in my wetsuit, 182 cm tall, and riding an F-One SK8 950 foil with an 80 cm 14 HM mast. My biggest wing is the Duotone Unit DLab 5. I start foiling from around 10 knots on the 77L board and from about 12-13 knots on the 66L board.
