What a beauty!! I found my foil for this season. First It's super fast with great acceleration, easily overtaking the swell on a downwinder. For a small wing (1100 cm2) it has plenty of lift. It carves like a hot knife in butter allowing for confident sharp turns even when the foil sticks out of the water. No loss of speed in jibes or tacks. Last but not less, it's fast and light so it wants to fly. Paired with the reinforced 70 fuselage you can go high without worrying about a heavy landing.

That's good to know as I'm the same weight and have a W940 arriving today !

being 96kg I probably need a bit more grunt as BenC, but agree on all points. is has a relative quick release/take off for its size and its fast with good glide. In the Sab range its like a better performing smaller size below the 950.
The 799SB with the same 1100cm2 has more aggressive lift, lower stall speed, higher grip but less glide and the 940 is significant faster. The 799 isn't slow, the 940 is quite fast.

399 and no shims.I have tried the 940 with the 483 and 425 as well and they work fine but do feel draggy with the 940 compared to the 399.
The 399 works like is buttery smooth.

Thanks Jeroensurf.
I had the 940 out today with a S370 ( no shimm) in 18mph ( I'm 86Kg)
initial impressions are very good. Nice lift , smooth ride and really nice to turn . I had sanded the trailing edge to 30 deg angle as per Gunnar's review for more speed. It's reasonable quick but will wait until I've tried it in stronger winds and bigger waves to judge its true potential. It's Definitely better than the W950 it replaces .
