Anyone tried the 50 Armstrong fuse for winging ? I'm thinking it would be too sensitive in pitch for a SUP

Yes, I have. I use it when it is windy, mostly with the smaller front wings like the 1050 and a small board. It is a lot more sensitive compared to the 60 fuse. It is a lot of fun playing around and jumping. Haven't tried in waves as I feel conditions where I live aren't that suitable.

Also tried it in lighter winds with a bigger board. It is a significant bigger struggle to get on the foil compared to the 60 fuse. In lighter winds I do not directly see the benefit.

Not Armstrong, but mine at the shortest setting is a lot shorter than 500mm. It takes some getting used to but has so much spark in turns it's hard to go back. The adjustment needed to trim at different speeds are also much smaller, which I like.

Thanks HubDekkers I was thinking it might be harder to get up on foil , Im just being lazy as I prone with the 50 but didn't want to change back to the 60 for winging as only have one mast atm.

I use the 50 and love it for both prone and wing. I wouldn't say it's harder to get up on foil with shorter fuse just that you need to adjust to a faster pump cadence to get going. You will absolutely rip waves apart with it. I like pairing it with a longer mast in my case 100cm to give me more error correction time. This really helps when hitting higher speeds as the shorter fuse will be less stable.

Here is video riding the 1250/100/50/212/+1 board is 4'8" 55L and 6.4 wing.
