What are sort of leg ropes are people using when winging and riding either foil or sup.
I see some are using a waist belt?? Does that stop the tangles??
SOMe are using a bodyboard leash to the wing and standard leggie.
Im using a 10' coiled leggie on the board and a short board leash on the wing.
But fall off and leggie is wrapped around the foil and the other around my neck
Is it just my lack of experience or is there a solution

Waist is better I feel as it gets it off your wrist. Still not perfect.
Balin Monster coil waist and body board leash from wing to waist.

I'm using a coiled leash for the board which seems ok and not get tangled around the foil and the wrist leash that comes with the wasp,
mum keen to try a waist belt to connect the Wasp to as I find it gets it the way a bit attached to my wrist
being new to the whole wing dinging guess it just takes more water time which I don't get enough of no matter how often I get out! I finish one session and can't wait for the next one it's just so much fun......frustrating but still fun!

Short coiled waist leash for board with leash from wing attached to that at the front.

Only way to go.

Thanks for the replies, looks like a waist belt it is.
do they ride up with the pull of the wing or leash???
talking to a kite surfer and they have a quick release lanyard,if they get into trouble, just pull and release.
does a wing rider need this

No need for quick release as there are no lines to depower the wing just let go of the wing and you will be fine. No where near as much power as a kite.

Yeah kites always have some sort of quick release as the dangers of being attached to a kite is super high if you can not get away from it. On a wind wing the danger is super low so there is no need really for a quick release.

See if you can find an old kite reel leash. They work well for the sup foil, keeps it all nice and clean in the water. They are considered to be dangerous with kites, so people don't use them any more....so an opportunity to seek out the ones buried in dust in the back of kite gear drawers.

Hey Mate
Im using a thin comp leggy and have attached a small fishing float to the middle so when your sitting waiting for a wave it keeps it out of the way of the foil by floating just under the surface . Works a treat

Which length do you recommend. 110cm is not too short?
