Is Sanur a good spot for wingfoiling
we are staying at the Prama at Mertasari beach. The high tides are:
Sanur high tides (WITA, heights in m):
31 Jul: 10:44 (2.4), 23:34 (2.2)
1 Aug: 11:14 (2.4)
2 Aug: 00:03 (2.3), 11:45 (2.3)
3 Aug: 00:34 (2.3), 12:18 (2.2)
4 Aug: 01:09 (2.3), 12:55 (2.1)
5 Aug: 01:47 (2.2), 13:37 (1.9)
6 Aug: 02:34 (2.1), 14:34 (1.7)
7 Aug: 03:38 (2.1), 16:11 (1.6)
on windy it looks like the wind doesn’t get too close the beach.
Does anyone have experience there or can offer advice about the spot? Do I need booties? How far out are the waves? Boat hire?
I welcome any input.

Weedy and lots of rubbish in the water. There are better places

The wind doesn't get very strong in Sanur. Big wings required. I mostly go there for great tow foiling. The guys at the surf hire at Metasari bch were running a water taxi service further out into the bay/surf for those who want to wingfoil. Ask for Komang and you'll probably end up tow foiling😎.

Agree with Hilly here -we actually shared some frustrating wing attempts on last trip halted by light bang onshore winds and heaps of crap in the water. Have been 3 times now and had very average winging....... if you are going take a big wing and use the taxi service if it's a struggle to get out to breaks.
I had one very good session at Oka Point but it was super light on the inside and once down it took a while to get going again.
Unfortunately (in my opinion) Sanur has got progressively worse for all forms of foiling with more and more rubbish limiting water time due to it pushing in and out with tide changes.
