Hi All

Anyone know what these Cabrina impact vest with integrated harness are like?

http://www.cabrinhakites.com/products/impact_chest.php

I have a Dakine Tabo which I hear is awesome, but Im just looking for some type of PFD or vest with some floatation as well.

Cabrinha vests have neutral floatation. It supports itself & no more. They are very good in crashes though.

Had one - didnt like it & sold it. Mate of mine has one & swears by it. So all in all its down to personal preference.

FWIW - it was well finished, but would ride up when the kite had significant power i.e. jumping.

I'm sure body shape has a bit to do with it too. I went from a super comfy Naish seat that just couldnt take another repair onto a Dakine Fusion seat .... once you have ridden one of these you wont want anything else - they are soooo comfy.

Hi mike

I have the Cabrinha Vest/harness and it certainly supports my weight. I'm 75kg dry. Very comfortable and doesn't ride up at all.
Well designed and protects ribs not like the Dakine and others that have a lack of protection on the ribs area. (this is important as this is where the pain area is)

But people are right. Gotta try it for yourself.
Friend of mine bought the wrong size and it rides up.
With Cabs you gotta buy it Snug.

Try it out, only you can make a decision on what's good.

I too use the Cabrina impact vest/harness. It has saved my skin a few times, well my back at least after some poor landings. It's sized small and fits snug my 65-70kg and I don't have an issue of it riding up.

i dont wanna start a new thread, so i will hijack for a sec..

i got a cabrinha impact seat harness, i dont like it at all, very uncomphy in the painfull areas, so i am lookin at getting another one. is the Dakine Fusion any good? like its well priced, and looks comphy, but i have yet to try it on (nearest kiteshop is an hour away).

thanks for any help in advance.... back to normal thread....

i heard the impact very/harnesses are rather bulky to ride with, maybe a seperate harness and impact vest would do both and give u the freedom to remove the vest when u wanna cruise *dare i say it* topless.

like Mr Plow said, its personal preferance, so try b4 ya buy i spose..
