1. DATE, VENUE & ORGANISING AUTHORITY
The events will be conducted from South Beach, Fremantle in Western Australia from the 06-10 January, 2007. The Organising Authority for this Championship will be Windsurfing W.A. Inc.

2. RULES
This Championship will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-08 and the IFWC Class and championship rules and this Notice of Race except where either is altered by the Sailing Instructions. Where there is conflict, the Sailing Instructions will take precedence.
3. ADVERTISING
In accordance with the IFWC this is a category “C” class as set out in the ISAF regulation 20 – Advertising code.
4. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
All competitors shall be paid up members of a National Association or the IFWC and meet the requirements of the ISAF regulation 19 – Eligibility code.) The national authority or national windsurfing association in Australia is the AWA (Australian Windsurfing Association Inc.) For insurance purposes all entrants must be paid up members of AWA affiliated state associations.
5. ENTRY FEES
One discipline only (Slalom or Formula) - AUD$80.00 or in the case of a Youth or Junior competitor, $50.00, will be payable at the time of Registration.
Both Disciplines (Slalom and Formula) – AUD $120 or in the case of a Youth or Junior competitor, $80.00, will be payable at the time of Registration.
6. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
6.1 Registration and Sailing Instructions
Competitor registration and equipment checking will be conducted at the venue in accordance with the Event Schedule.
Sailing Instructions will be issued to each competitor at the time of registration.

09 Jan07 Racing (Formula given Priority) 11.00 hrs.
10 Jan 07 Racing (Formula given Priority) 11.00 hrs.
7. CLASSES
This Championship is an open event – titles will be awarded for Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Women and Youth Divisions.
8. EQUIPMENT
The International Formula Windsurfing Class rules will apply.
Amendment – Maximum sail size for Junior, Youth and Woman is 11m.
Slalom equipment is unlimited, but a max of 2 board and 4 sails is requested.
9. RACING AREA
Racing will be conducted on the waters of South Beach adjacent to the Car parking area
32degrees 4minutes 40 seconds South 115 degrees 45minutes 4seconds East
10. COURSES
The course to be sailed will be posted on the Official Notice Board no later than 30minutes prior to the scheduled starting time for racing on each day.
11. SCORING SYSTEM
It is intended to sail as many races as time and weather conditions permit. A minimum of three races shall be completed to constitute a Formula result. Woman, Youth, Master and Grand Master finishing position will be determined by their respective finishing position in the overall point score.
Slalom scoring will be explained at the skipper meeting 06Jan 07.
It is broadly intended to race Formula in conditions below 22knots and Slalom above 15 knots if the race committee deems the conditions suitable for the discipline.
Slalom format will be explained at the briefing on 06Jan07.
12. SAIL NUMBERS
Sail numbers shall be in accordance with RRS 2005-08, Appendix G or as approved by the Race Committee. In the event of duplication, sail numbers registered with the Australian Windsurfing Association Inc. will be given preference for use.
13. BUOYANCY
All competitors shall be responsible for wearing personal flotation devices whilst racing.
14. PRIZES
Trophies will be awarded to the 1st Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Youth and Woman. Medallions will be awarded to 2nd and 3rd in the above classes. Youth - has not turned 20 years of age as at the 6.1.06, Master - has turned 35 years of age as at the 6.1.06, Grand Master - has turned 45 years of age as at the 6.1.06).
15. ENTRY DISCLAIMER
It is the competitor’s sole decision to enter this Championship and to start and or to continue to compete. By way of entering, competitors acknowledge that participation in this Championship can be dangerous and accept that their participation is at their exclusive risk in every respect. In addition, by way of entering competitors shall hold harmless the organising authority, its officers, members, servants and agents and all other competitors in respect of all liability for injury to their person and or damage to their property howsoever arising from their participation or intended participation in this Championship. The organising authority, its officers, members, servants and agents accept no responsibility in respect of loss of life, personal injury or loss or damage to property which may be sustained by reason of a competitor’s participation or intended participation in this Heat or arising for whatever reason in connection with this Championship.
