(and you call the ambulance once I look like a puzzle, fair deal?)
Gosh... Look at us Caelah, I'm just cracking up: you're having a boring day at work too, right!?
Or is it that, mixed with a bit of "I keep my eyes on the charts so I can take off at the first green arrow"????
LOL

Aw geee Caelah.... whats a fella gotta do to find a nice kiter girl... they all seem to be over seas or taken. Even at the BBQ on Saturday... not a single unattached KG in site... mind you, it was hard to see anything with that much sand in my eyes (teeth, ears, hair etc etc). Was good to see you guys again though.

Catch ya soon,

Felix

Hey Felix, yeah was a bit of a nightmare with the wind on Saturday.......I usually end up that coated in sand after a great session of kiting!

Lets hope next time we can pick a day where it's not insane....in the meantime I'm going to practise on unhooked and blind ;-) to bring me a bit closer to the awesome Karolina!!

Cool, make sure you watch the last half of the Karolina Vid a few more times before you do.... She's an awesome kiter, but personally, I'm not sure of all the beatings you have to take to get that good. Even if she were'nt such a great kiter, I'd still take my hat off to anyone tough enough to get spanked again and again and still come back for more like that. She's earned every bit of her skill from the looks of it.

Yeah I saw the crashes at the end.........they are the best bits cause it makes you realise you have to go through it to learn! It's like any sport you take up.....you have to to learn how to crash and fall and how to get yourself out of it.....so that's on the agenda too

Well, I did an aaaaaaawesome job yesterday!

I got smashed before I had time to do anything the very second I unhooked and even managed to throw an -unintentional- kite loop that crashed so hard it exploded my valve and I had to swim back to the shore dragging the victim...
Hm...
My conclusion is that Karolina still rocks, and my performance, out of the dummy crash test show, was perfectly pathetic!!! LOL...

No pain no gain: try again! Positive thinking and all that jazz!
Any more experienced riders tips would be welcome though...
I haven't got a new trick through in ages -I blame Sydney's conditions, which is partly true, but there's also a lack of "being pushed" and being shown things...And a lot of chickening away at the last second... Hesitation kills! I should know better...-

So here is an official call for a coach!
I want someone on the water with me, who's gonna show me things, boost me, push me and make me crash untill it gets through.
I am so sick of my very neat one foot!!!

I'm 6 years behind, SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, might think about it.... Is Perth still any good in May/June???
It's true I've got a lineup to look after (better check it out before the water gets too cold, LOL!)...

I think the woodies crew are all pink kiters and woosed out on the lineup because they might get too exposed[}:)].

Edit: Cold water doesn't matter. zero minus zero = zero

Hey Em,

Every hardcore chick kiter and surfer needs the right bikini because the ones in the shops just don't work...they're not designed for the purpose of extreme sports. There is now someone designing such stuff for us which is awesome and I found out by Elizabethb!!

Talking about it (albeit briefly) doesn't dimish the fact we all go for it when on the water :-)

See you over the weekend....if we get any wind!

I am yet to be convinced that there is a bikini out there that works as good as my neoprene top - warm, thick and reef-proof.

Take my word Caelah: guys out there are really happy they don't work...
Me too: it's so much fun watching the bikini top fly at the first crash... Makes the landscape more enjoyable for everybody, doesn't it...
And if it's any issue, then just wear a normal bathing suit...
Whatever...

Don't forget though... Kitesurfing is gay any way....

Pink kites rocks, so do flying bikinis, tough guys get their speedos matching their canopy colour , lineups are the new trend and I will soon publish a magazine called "hooked and strapped"...
All good...

PS:And this is my 100th post and I now have 2 stars: just wondering... does that make me a better person????

A couple of years ago I might have thought a DVD was pointless, because there were so few girls on the water, but in the last season I have seen a huge increase - well, up around the Newcastle/Cent Coast area. The other day I went out and there were four girls and no guys on the water. I think that was a new one.

MASSIVE THANKS to Craig (??? think that's his name?) for his help yesterday!

Most fun session I had in ages, and it was awesome to finally have someone pushing me and telling me to go for it!
Didn't land any of my unhooked mess up, but at least, got boosted enough to frankly go for it... I will get there! If I keep on having kiters around who challenge me...

So SOUTH SIDE KITERS, does anybody know how I can get a hold of the guy who flies a white liquid force kite?
(and who landed the HOTEST S-bend I've ever seen in Sydney! -hey mate, if no one else saw it, I did, and I was jumping up and down the beach cheering! -)
That's it, I've found my coach...

Well... Nearly.... I might have to ask him if he wouldn't mind keeping on kitesurfing with me so I can learn... (because without the coach's agreement... well, it doesn't quite work as well, lol...)
Thanks to anyone who can put me in touch with him.
