Cool pictures Paul!
I've taken a few shots myself that day, I hope you won't mind that I use this opened thread to post a link to the pictures.

David,

For these photos I was using
Canon 40D
Canon 70-200 f2.8 L
Kenko 1.4 Extender

I did very little post-processing - mainly just cropping for effect.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Paul.

nice photographs.. would a fisheye lens have worked well for the kite loops.. kiteloops look nicer with the kite in the shot IMHO

Ideally it needs a mixture of different lens types and photo styles.

A fisheye has its limitations as does a telephoto.

I agree that having the kite in the photo would add to it.

Next time I will play around with a wide angle and see what happens.

Hi Bellz

I only charge if you want the resulting photos.

If you kite somewhere between Pinaroo and Woodies we should be able to sort something out.

I would only make the trip to Safety Bay if there was a group of you.

Cheers

Paul.

Hi Charl,

Next week is too short notice for me.

However, there is a guy who just posted some shots from Woodies who would appear to have some decent camera kit.

His website is

www.martinpepperphotography.com/

Email him to see if he can help you out.

Thanks for the invite - let me know when you are next kiting in the Perth area and I will come and find you....

Cheers

Paul.

Charl,

I am more than happy to come to Pinaroo for a session.

I was there two weeks ago flailing around myself trying to learn this awesome sport.

Email me anytime at

Charl dv,
If you're after some stunning photo's, we'll follow you around in a helicopter and take a heap of photos from the ultimate perspective. If you get a few of your mate's together, we charge from $95 per person for the best photo's on C.D. and that includes the heli, video is also available.
