Whoa. Really makes me wanna get into wavesailing

How awesome is the part where (not sure which rider) gets the squirt of speed off the top turn/lip and shoots over the lip and a few metres down the line straight into a drop in.

Have seen many jumps off the lip (many bigger) and reentry in new sections at like pozo or somewhere overseas but never in Aus waves and so fluid off a turn

From my limited knowledge, i think the three fin boxes on that video give the option of twin or single rather than being tri-fin designs.

yep wrong, saw Jaeger riding them at Corros.
Three fins, not in a thruster setup, but 1 larger fin with two smaller ones. (cant remember what that setups called)

thought 1 fin with 2 smaller side fins was a thruster...or were the thrusters not set back, grumps, i thought if all 3 slots were lined up straight, that this gave u the option of twin or a single.... all these fins is stovin my marbles, it was nice n easy with 1

Thrusters are three fins of the same size, as in most surfboards of today. On a surfboard the third fin gives more drive out of the bottom turn instead of too much slide with just twin fins.
Sailboard twin fins are set up differently to surfboard twinnies, with the fins being parallel and closer to the centre of the board.

I think the larger centre fin and smaller side fins is called a widow maker, or a tri-fin, or something like that.

Yup, Simon Anderson should have patented that idea.

I wondered is the red thumbs were locals unhappy with the identification of that location?

It could be worse, we have got a full blown WQS Surfing event at Marrawah this summer. Seppos, Reef girls the whole industry deal.

Yeah, what I meant is that from the looks of the vid the slots were lined up straight like Miller pointed out this is for 1 or 2 fins.

I actually looked at the marking on the "tri-fin".

From memory the centre fin was to test an Evo80, and other 2 were to test for the Evil Twin.

I got the impression that they would not be run together, or designed to be an option. More likely that you could test a rocker line for both an EVO and ET in one board.

"convertable is super uncool" so I cant imagine they would make one except for experimentation.
convertable like those pants that zip to shorts
or shoes that have retractable wheels
or anything with wave/slalom written on it.

Yeah, interesting, my last post the only not to get red thumbed

If only red thumbs equalled something tangible for protecting their break, then this would be warranted

I wonder if Starboard have received any insulting emails with red thumbs attached?

Gorge Animals have five fins if you count the thrusters. One thing those boards don't do is spin out!

I was wondering why you were still up Miller?
How was this arvos paddle surf? I had fun. How about you?
The wind stuffed it up but when we first got out it was glassy gold.
I cant wait for next week
Leave the windsurf gear at home and lets just go for a paddle surf holiday

Yeah it was as green as everyone else's is red.

But now 'they' got offended at my 3rd post, as it was commenting on the fact that red thumbs will do nothing to stop their problem.

Yet it mentioned that some proactive campaigning on their part against footage on an international companies website might be the most efficient way to protect their break, yet they red thumb that?

Do they really wanna protect 'the break' or just play silly buggers?
