i was down at my local beech this afternoon and i was about a kilometre out when i got back to shroe and hit the no wind protected side of the old bhp jetty bout 50 metres out the wind dropped of and i coulld not harness in so ran out of wind and started swimming its were i have been learnng..
anyhow upon arrival at the beech there was a man in his thirties punching a horse in the head repetedly
i straight away packed up my kit and didnt look at the situation (TIRED TO IGNORE IT BUT COULD HEAR THE BLOWS)as im a small bloke and didnt want to get involved my kit was about 15 metres from his horse anywas
as i was packing up my kit and not looking at him because i felt ashamed at what he was doing but i havent got the status to take a person like that on
someone on a green quadbike rode over to this person who was punching the horse in the head and said
"if u punch that horse 1 more time im gona ****en flog u" and his kid rode up behing him on a little 50 cc bike it must of been his young kid he was a fambly man on a 4wd drive and seen it aswell infact the 20 people on the beech were distraught
anyway i would like to forward my extreme dissapointment over this matter and would like to thank the gentleman on the quadbike for interveining in the matter
as soon as i seen this person doing that to his horse id dint say npthn but packed up my kit and left as soon as possiably by that time this guy has driven down the beech and shouted that at him
what is the world coming to
there is no need to persicute a animal cause it dosent like water
i have talked to equastrain riders on facebook and they said that activity was unexceptable
if i see that again if the public on the beech dosent intervein i will be taking phots and loding them to the RSPCA
I JUST WANT TO THANK THAT GENTLEMAN ON THE QUADBIKE FOR INTERVENING AS I WHEN I LEFT I COULNT LOOK AT WHAT HE WAS DOING TO THAT HORSE
WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE TO TREAT ANIMALS LIKE THAT.................

By not expressing your disapproval in some way to the guy, he would have got the idea that punching the horse was okay by you. Unfortunately that's just the way these people think.

Even looking at him and shaking your head from a distance would've been a good start.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight that counts, but the size of the fight in the dog.

At some level, he knows it's wrong, so just rip in there angry as anything with all guns blazing, and it's very unlikely that he would have taken you on. These things don't need to become physical - there's a marked difference between punching a horse, and assaulting a stranger. Beating your horse or wife might be 'normal' for some people, but punching up some guy on the beach when you know you're doing wrong (unless you're drunk, or on 'P') is unusual.

He is just a sick ffer, that needs to have his attitude readjusted.

Busterwa, I appreciate your predicament entirely. Next time just call the cops, not everyone has the aggro in them to take on an agressive person.

Next time maybe the horse will kick him in the head.

Like ...a horse?
I know, horse was probably conditioned. He'd be plenty sore if it did hit him back though.

Reminds me of that Dostoevsky dream scene in Crime and Punishment.

is there anything Google can't find?

Front page of local paper has story of two boys who were stomped to death by their father.

I like horses.

Get pictures, and report him to the RSPCA. That's the best way to tackle this. He needs to have all his horses taken away from him.

It's a good thing I wasn't there. I once scared two teenage boys witless because they were throwing sticks at ducks!
I am a very gentle and nonconfrontational person but I cannot tolerate cruelty to animals.

there so much of this ** in thailand. Nobody cares about the animals here, although they just made this soi dog foundation thing were they take in stray dogs. Most of the dogs in that place are already half dead, there was one dog with a huge gash in his head from a meat cleaver.

Took this photo in Kazan, Russia. This house has been knocked down to make way for new apartments. The owners are compensated with a new apartment out in the 'burbs.

No room for a dog in the new apartment, so they get left behind.

Don't cry too much though. They rejected the sausages I bought for them. They are well fed by locals, get to run around doing whatever dogs do.

Ugly pictures, make you realise there really is no hope for the human race, maybe a good pandemic is overdue.

as i said u advanced windsurfers may laugh at me for windsurfing in the sound but its a good place to learn and keep out the way untill i have the skills to become a non menace to ur sholwater circuit.
anyhow on a brighter note when i was tryn to water start the dolphins came over and said hello and made sure i was ok i was out near the free passage cardinal markers in the sound does the garden island navy have anything to do with that or are these dolphins my garden angels if
i was ever reincarnated i would like to come back as a dolphin

mabe i should of started punching them in the head

sorry to say but I got lost halfway thru this-if you use some punctuation it would be much easier to understand!

When humans learn to stop torturing, raping, slaughtering each other then there maybe hope for the animals.

sorry to say but nature certainly isnt all Lassie, Flipper and Skippy either.
Unfortunately often people in the city dont realize it but nature is at least as cruel as humans.
Fire, drought, starvation, violent death, forced coupling with multiple partners, injuries resulting in a slow and painful prolonged death are all an everyday part of nature.
NO wild animal dies of old age.

Its certainly no excuse for people to be cruel of course, but every wild animal is part of the foodchain and there are plenty of animals that kill for "fun" or at least for a reason that we dont understand.
