I rode it in my early sup days and didn't like it , terrible to paddle and really hung in the wave on the take off (bogged railed).They are well priced though. I only rode it once and I was pretty inexperienced back then but I won't recommend it.
Hi Kym - I paddled/surfed the uber fish last year and quite liked it. I didn't like it as a quad but with a box fin and sides it was pretty good. It is very stable for its length and didn't paddle too bad in the flatwater for a short fish shaped board. If you compare it to a naish 9'6 perhaps you will find it much more stable and a much better paddler but will not surf quite as well. If you can get a good one second hand you will probably love it and will be suprised how easily it catches waves and how much stability you have under your feet in the surf.. They are also pretty hardy and don't seem to chip up like most of the g.s.i boards - and the carry handle is great. If you are thinking about one new though - look at a starboard 9'8 first. Hey Kym, I heard Scotty Mac is selling his 9'4 quad, I have ridden this board, goes and looks great, I reckon it is easier to ride than the naish 9'6, goes really well in the waves

I have been riding one for a while and love it. Floats enough to make cruising around or lending to newby friends on problem. Then when you get it in waves carves well and feels loose. Had it out in some nice shoulder high waves at Transits last week and had a ball. I have mainly surfed it in small Scarborough closeouts so to get some long peeling walls was a treat. It does have a fish feel whereas the 11' s surf like mals and the 9'6" Naish more of a short board.

Also - really give a lot of consideration to where you will be going to be surfing/paddling. I am sure the naish 9.3 is unreal in pumping surf but do you ever want to surf small fat conditions as well or maybe just go for a cruisey paddle on flat water or in the open ocean ? I reckon that pretty much every board under 10'0 is going to surf well in most conditions BUT I can assure you that they don't all paddle well and many do not handle smaller or less than perfect surf conditions. Be careful going too high performance.
Just an afterthough kym - If you are keen on Naish put the 9'6 Naish into the mix for consideration as well - it will definately be a better all rounder than the 9'3 and there should be a couple starting to appear s/h as people upgrade to the 9'3. So in my humble opinion if you are set on going under 10'0 my picks for your would be in no order of preference:
Starboard 9'8 Naish 9'6 Uber fish 9'8
(all three have carry handles as well, and the starboard and Uber have factory fitted deck grips)
