Rule 1
Any pilot wishing to participate in the speed trials need's to have a GPS that he/she can set , These can be brought or shared or borrowed. But as there is so many variations of GPS the pilot will be responsible for the setting and recording there speed. The GPS will require resetting after highest speed is recorded for each day/run.

Just a thought if people are going to record maxium speeds, PLEASE also record the wind speed, the sail size and what the ground surface was, and how soft / hard it is.....
This way we might end up with a good set "ideal" conditions to to do serious speed record attempts in the future.

Vics jumping the gun a bit with the "rule "Thing. weve worked up a set of conditions, etc that i will be presenting at theclub meeting next week. once approved i will post ASAP . That should give us a good starting point for this year, and then if we can improve on it for the future we will.

with a bit of luck Stephen, Brodie and Anna might be on holidays about the same time as the long weekend!

If my plan works out we might be either driving to Kal, or training- and hire a car and see what we can find to do in the area

reminder to self- no upsetting the boss at work cause he can cancel my holidays...

Vic , that looks magnificent!!!
SAlLT REPORT!!!!!!
Lake is looking amazing, sailed over 10kms north of the yacht club yesteday without any salt on my goggles. minor water , just thin , no lakes to speak of.
tiny bit of water in pond corners, clubhouse and grounds and tidy and undamaged.
naturally I took the wrong yacht to the lake

Stephen, Brodie and Anna had a great time there too- (we will be back!)

many thanks to Paul, Susan and thier tribe for looking after us so well,

and the bad news-

it looks like we will have to settle for sailing on the ovals across the road, when we got back home we went past lake gnangara and it is actually holding water

Paul- dont forget to let me know how much we owe you for club fees!

how to make a bloke jealous , you all looked like you were having a ball, managed to watch the video Postcards WA Landsailing @ Lake Lefroy, long down load on dial up, but i enjoyed it, can i put a link to my Hellter Skelter Ambull or is it copyright. That rookie Ernst Wattlehedoo Next, overdid it with the blood and guts ending, I presume he were the presenter. Its a good one to initiate the heathens and baptize the brood. Done well, all of you involved, good photography too, I'll give a ...........9.5 !!!!
Some unknown reason my machine don't spit out the soundtrack...pitty
