Presumably its not a one pump system, easiest thing is a new valve they have an over sized base, cut the old one out, stick a new one on, and bobs your uncle, ready to rock and roll!!

Are you refering to the valves with an internal flap that doesn't seal so you're losing air before you get the stopper in?

yes slack, thats what is happening, kite was purchased second hand, but never used, nearly all the struts and leading edge deflate this way, kite ends up looking like a half cooked sanga,P.S no not a one pump setup

These one way valves have only been introduced to kites over the past 4-5 years, before that valves were just open all the time. The best way to inflate is either pinch the valve around the rib of the valve stem, then put the plug in, or simply put your thumb over the end and quickly transfer your thumb with the plug.

Another way is to punp up hard, turn the strut upside down and then pull the pump hose out. This allows the ball to seat in place correctly and will solve the prob. There is nothing wrong with your kite, and I would definately no be changing bladders or valves because of this minor prob.

Paradise1, I bought a Rebel 2nd hand and had the same problem. The previous owner had left the deflate sticks in the valves and then this becomes the normal position for the valve seal.

All you need to do is get a piece of tube I used an 18mm pvc pipe connector (retic) lay the kite flat put something solid under the valve as a base and then place the tube over the valve and I place a dive weight on top. This then forces the valve seal into its correct position. Ideally leave it in a warm shed during the day and in the morning they will be perfect.

Cheers
