Melville Beach Kitesurfers

Opening:

The second social meeting of the Melville Beach Kitesurfers commenced at 7pm on 10 Feb 2005 at Melville beach, Applecross, chaired by Mike Holmes.

Present:

Minutes of Previous Meeting:

The committee resolved to approve the previous meeting of 12th January as a true and correct record

Agenda Items

1.1 Existing guidelines are being followed by majority and have made a significant improvement to the safety of all. Feedback has been positive.

1.2 Phil proposed an addition to the existing guidelines – Kites to be landed as close as possible to waters edge

1.3 Mike proposed that someone from Melville attend WAKSA meetings.

1.4 Mike to issue Melville Guidelines to WAKSA for inclusion in Local Kiting guidelines currently being put together by WAKSA.

Guidelines accepted by Paul G and Seconded by Nick G

2.0 Melville Kiters trip to Lancelin details provided by Paul G

3.0 Phil proposed an end of season fun day for all Kiters and families. Possible BBQ, Downwind race from Point Walter to Melville beach, Beach cleanup. Details and date to be confirmed.

This forum area tends to me used for posting the WAKSA or sub-group notices. You might find you get a better response posting in the main General Kitesurfing area. The Melville/Lucky Bay guy's are a really well organised and very social group. If you head down there, Applecross foreshore just up the beach from the windsurfers then you'll find them all there.
