looking at getting a group together to explore the coral coast of Fiji from 4th to 15th may or any dates in between .have been there before and wish to explore and ride sigatoka beach (waves and sandy) and the reef breaks along the way from Nadi to suva .Flights at the moment $440 return on webjet .Have found good accom that is from $25 AUD per person per night twin share in a reputable spot ,food about $25 aud per day or you can be a bit more flash up to $200 per person per night right next door if shared bathrooms are not your thing .Tides will be right then too .
Should be fun. PM me for details . I'm sure that by then the east coast doldrums of Australia will be driving everyone insane and this will be a good fix.

P.S. This is a reccy and no moola for me on this one so I'm not carrying your gear .

I would have gone, but that sh!t we call work will get in the way.
If it ends up being in June I could look at going

how much wind can you expect then?

i was in pacific harbour for one week in july and it blew pretty much everyday!

15-25 kts .Usually gos in a cycle. If we are lucky kiting most days if unlucky half that .There are plenty of other things to do in the area also

Did you get my message ? I announced to Amanda the dates and she reminded me of a huge function that we are going to in Bellingen right in the middle of the 18th - 27th may trip dates (sorrree ) .How does 1- 13th June sound for everyone?
The good news is that the flights are $407 return and the we are further into the windy season

Trust the girl to throw a spanner in the works. I was just basking in my good fortune that a work colleague has just been retired ill health, struck down with Parkinsons disease, freeing up a spot on the holiday roster for me. Oh well.
Hope this is not going to end up like our response to Climate Change. June is fine with me, noone takes holidays then due to the filthy weather.

You'll be 100% for June Lach. It could have been worse, my 5yo missed soccer. Broke his leg on Wednesday. Ouch!!

As for gear, I'm thinking of taking just 1 kite & 2 directionals, 1 that I can surf.

i can't believe it I couldn't walk very well on Sat after the game and hobbled back to the car .i also have a chronic heel pain problem that requires orthotics that Amanda chucked out by mistake last week not realising what they were after I was asking for a week if anyone had seen them .Anyway to cut a long story short I have been a fan of pain away for years for the inevitable sprains and tears from kiting and was checking out how much arnica is in it and discovered that it has half what a good dose should have in an arnica cream .I got the good stuff and laquered my hammy in it and used clingwrap to make a compression bandage and gave it a good icing .did the foot as well and dug the orthotics out of the binI'm back to as good as an old fart can be .Laquered the foot as well and got some voltaren tablets .

If your son doesn't have cuts on his leg give the bauer external arnica cream a whirl for him.I was expecting to be out for at least 2 weeks maybe 4 and i reckon i'll be good for wed nigyhts game .There is also internal tablet form of arnica but i'd check with a herbalist at a health food store if this is OK for kids .Painaway would get me going again a week or soon earlier than normal but this stuff is the gear
