Bringing the beach home (not sand in a towel!)

Sadly it's the non windy season but I have been trying to ease the windsurfing withdrawal by working on some beach themed glass pieces.

This one is titled "Close Encounters of the Bird Kind" (seagull footprints)



and this one is the ripple pattern left in the sand as the tide recedes

So for those of you who have wondered what I have been doing at the beach with buckets, wooden frames etc, I have been making moulds for use in my glasswork.

WOW! Those are neat.
I love them both.
I wish I could do stuff like that but there is not so much as even one artistic bone in my body.

I've still tossing up whether to slump the footprints one into a dish shape...

The other one can be used as a platter with sushi, scones, whatever, arranged in rows along the ripples.
