I think it is a brilliant idea.

I have seen so many guys start out in the sport with a beginner board only to have to sell it in a couple months once they got better.

Now you could buy a ripper and use these when starting out and just do away with the wings once you were good enough.

Although does have limitations but bear in mind it is a tool for beginners.

My first reaction was to check the date... seriously, I asked myself if it was april's fool today...

I put my father in law on a SUP last month at Tally, he's 66 and never touched a board in his life... maybe I should have filmed him and put it on youtube and save some people some money...
With a bit of time and flat water anyone can find his balance and be fully confident within the first 2 weeks if they're new to it.

I think this product is rubbish as it advertises SUP as something harder to master than it really is. Even if you only have an hour you can get by with a 11" board.
Anyone serious about it should be clever enough to realise that they should buy a board that will be suitable sometimes in the near future once they've progressed, it might make it a bit harder to start with but it pays off later.

What worries me with this product too it that we might see people in places they shouldnt be... I try hard to get out of the way and respect some kind of unwritten surfing rules everytime I paddle out, this just bypass them big style imo.

im bring out my own version but instead of elephant ears with fins on im drilling outrigger poles into my board, you know for when i gets a little windy!!!
