There's a few factors of importance to me when considering VMG/ability upwind. There is the angle/speed you are able to achieve- and of importance to me is the angle/speed you can achieve with relative ease. If I were racing, bottom line VMG would be a factor. But I'm not. I am wanting to spend hours on the water having fun doing loops- runs out/upwind, jibing into a wave or into a run of downwind swell. In this use case what I want is a nice upwind angle with comfort and ease so I can relax my way to the top of the run with a full tank. We all have different use case, needs, but it's not really my jam if I am having to hook in, grit my teeth, edge as hard, wince through gust to maximize my VMG to get there. A nice collapse/stow is next on the list. My 3.0 PR V2 is close, just lacks range- gets to be a handful on the top end. LTX is sounding a promising combo of compromises for me, my use case.... think I need to setup a demo.
