This is my hobby I am only interested in receiving not broadcasting, J Car do a a very small HF receiver that surprisingly is very good in a very small package.and it has many features.
i have one as a back up radio.
my main radio is the Sangean 909x2 .
not only do I do the weather HF from BOM
but I
mainly chase HAM stations from around the world looking for information and news outside MSM .
the Sangean comes with a coil aerial but I made up a wire with alligator clips which I attached to the side stay and the other end to the radio aerial.
the Sangean works off standard batteries which was important for me also it’s the best build quality
when Optus went down it sparked me into getting HF.

China is being set up as the world’s manufacturing industrial centre as industry is wiped out around the world.
fed by Australian natural resources and slave labour.
Hence why we no longer have a car industry and we blew up one of our major power stations and China who I believe breathe the same air and live in the same atmosphere have built a further 150 coal fired power stations and buy our coal and gas.
