This should work also you might be shunned by freestyle sailors who consider this a sacrilege. I've been guilty of committing the crime with a 2012 Fanatic Skate 109, North Duke 6,4 and 34 fin and I have to say it wasn't too bad. Pretty old stuff so as has been said might not be the same on newer, more extreme shapes. As you have mentioned Tabou Rockets, an old 61 wide rocket 105 is up to the task a lot better in every respect: quicker, more agile, looser and willing to plane through the gybe at any speed, if you should ever stumble upon one.

I need friends with good sails for sale, as mine are toast and no wiggle will fix toast, so I'll go vertical wiggle my pole in a park and see what happens.
ZeeGerman really knows his stuff.

I assume we're still talking about windsurfing here?

Just take it to a spot crowded with experienced windsurfers. Don't ask for help but try to wiggle it apart with your mate or your girlfriend.
After some time people will flock to you as this is a curious breed of people and habitually willing to help.
If it is badly stuck, you will soon be surrounded by a crowd of windsurfers trying all of the above-mentioned methods, one after another.
They might or might not be able to help you with the mast, but that's not the point: No easier way to get in touch. Supportive acuaintances are what you need when you want to get into the sport.
No joke, this is how I got to know some of my best buddies I regularly go windsurfing with.
The efforts killed one of my booms and managed to get the mast apart for some 5 cm and that's it.
I keep it in my carport and am willing to take it to the shore should I ever run out of friends, but don't feel the need at the moment.

I might try the first method above though, the only one that has never occurred to me
