In an odd twist. I checked pricing for a full Riift system. The 3p system comes out to $5999 USD plus shipping. I left that in my cart and went about my day. Last night I got an email saying your cart is waiting for you, and the 3p system was listed in that email as $4999 USD plus shipping. Not sure what to make of that.

Screenshot please. With certainty you have the 2 P and you were playing around back and forth with 3P. Try to check out and let us know. Click the little button on order summary and you will come back to reality. Sorry.

You are riding in a lower wind and choppy area when you get more into the open. Your existing setup is heavy, low aspect and will not glide well. I would let others with more credibility chime in that know the area and para wing. I ride SAB foils. I can only comment on them. But for a newer guy on para winging, I would probably recommend the 1350 (1870cm2 / AR 9.75) with a 663 fuse / 370 tail and 75cm BB mast. Is the 1350 bigger than most use? Yes. But in the beginning you will be gliding. Once you get better with pumping, use it for your dock pump foiling beginner wing. Then move up to the new Blackbird FreeMove 1155 mono block system with fuse Black Bird size medium. You would eventually (not now) have 2 front wings (para "1155" /dock "1350"), a 663 / BB medium fuse and only need one stab (370). One mast is enough. That said, find what is available in your area and what others use. Try to get used gear. SAB does have a black friday event every year too. This information is just a general idea. There a plenty of guys in Sweden, Denmark and Germany that do it all the time that know exactly what to get.

What is your weight? Skill level? Where do you exactly ride? What gear do you have now?

You are again approaching things from the wrong directions. Swells are not static data. Where you ride swells is completely different from where I ride. The size and energy (currents, wind direction, length of waves.... so many factors).

If you want help, tell us about your self, your conditions, some back ground, your country (ability to buy in your country).

Nobody is going to tell you without any information that you need a 1100cm2, AR 11, with a bit of concave in the front wing, tips pointing down, 145 stab, 630 fuse, 75cm mast with UHM (tapered, point A 14mm width, 140 cord, point C 12mm width, 100 cord).

Right, this seems like a world problem to solve. Not children dying or genocides. 😂

What does this even mean?

In 2025: 65 confirmed unprovoked shark bites worldwide, 9 fatalities — 25 in
the US, 21 in Australia. (Florida Museum)

Thanks for offering your help, I will certainly ask when I want to upgrade my setup.

The thing is I already starting creating gathering data in a big spreadsheet for before buying a board, and then I thought that it could be an idea to create a sort of app that for everyone.

Just checking before it does not already exist and if people actually care too.

Would it be great to quickly know the weight of any part ?

You want to create an app for what? Every few months someone comes along and tries to create a data base or app suggestion. You can't take the data from a wing and incorporate it into some data driven findings alone.

Spare battery?

No spare batteries, got to buy another kit.

Because a company placed a temporary pricing on IG doesn't mean that is the price. Let us know when you actually have official pricing and information about spare batteries.

Is the Riift power unit price known? I see Appletree promoting pre orders. How can one decide to buy a board without the Riift power unit price not yet known?

Nah, just order the board then they will let you know the price and availability. 😀

Okay, AWSI was an insane blur today and I'm sorry to say I did not get to everything on the list but here's some notes:

The E-systems are getting out of control. So many options for people now. I didn't take a closer look at anything but am sure there will be youtube content out there.

I unexpectedly spent a significant amount of time at the Lift tent and they have quite a few exciting things to come this spring. Really looking forward to their new foil offerings.

The Armstrong parawing looks really nice, it's a single skin, but I didn't get to try it (or any gear for that matter).

North definitely looked like they had new stuff but since I don't know North at all I couldn't tell what I was or wasn't looking at. Sorry.

Boards: I don't think I saw anything that didn't look like a modern midlengthish design. No more short wide boards from anyone which is to be expected but it's about time everyone got there. It makes me laugh how the local shops claimed those boards would be "impossible" to ride 3-4 years ago and yet here we are with nothing but them on the market!

I didn't see any new parawing packs. They may have been there but I didn't see them prominently displayed by anyone.

Code has launched wings (why???) and boards along with Sv2, Rv2, and new surf tails. Sv2 is supposed to be about the same speed as Sv1 but have better low end, glide, roll, and breaching. They recommended rounding down if you want the same size experience. So, if you are on a 980v1 now its 900v2. 850v1 is 800v2. 720v1 is a bit tough, there is a 715v2 or a 602v2 but they were honest the 602 has less lift than the 720v1. Smallest size was a 500ish and it went all the way up into huge numbers that I'd expect beginners or ultralight wind riders would be using?

@Hdip I'll be reviewing the Omen Agent once Greg gets over the hump of initial orders and can spare the 80cm mast for me. Code Sv2 wont land until Decemberish so I wont have a chance to ride it until April maybe? I don't think I'm going to order it and force a mid winter review. Gloves suck.

Tons of other things happening at AWSI but I'll leave it to the dedicated youtubers to try and cover all of the content.

Sorry to anyone who I didn't spot stuff for! It was flatwater wind at the event but 30 knots 15 minutes down the road. I chose a fun 30 knot session over flatwater demos and surfed a quiet little 1km swell section for a few hours and then headed home.

All those posts… and that’s it?

LOL. No kidding. Just go to FB and IG. Tons of stuff there. Foil Rat, Foil Podcast ......

Interesting will be:

Code boards
Code inflatable wings
Reedin Dyneema inflatable wings
Riift foil drive system (can they deliver a good and competitive product)
.... let me think what else...
