I haven’t tried it windfoiling but have with wing and parawing. Easiest with para as you can fly it with one hand, the other on the controller. You only need a tiny amount of power to get up to foiling speed so even a small battery lasts way longer than needed.
i use Foildrive, nothing attached to you and fits easily to any board or mast. My worry with the Duotone is if you fell forward on the other side of the mast in a catapult you might rip the cable out of the unit. My controller is mounted on my waist by a reel leash, once I’m foiling I just drop it and it disappears behind my back.

Really don’t bother with the ART Pro’s, they turn like crap. Our lot on para in Brisbane on bay bumps are on Fireballs or Surges. I’m on the Surge 1010, such an easy wing to para on, great glide with excellent turning.
Hit me up if you want to try one, I’m 1 minute from Queens North.

Too many variables, wind strength, para size, body weight, foil used and water conditions such as tide/current.

I got quite a few questions on this board right away. Normally I like to wait until I have about 500 miles on a piece of gear to do a write up but the season is shutting down here so I have started and published my initial writeup before it's complete. Hopefully this can answer a few questions. I'd say my initial evaluation is all positive.

Feel free to drop any questions on the article or here and I'll do my best to answer them.

Initial thoughts and evaluation on parawinging the 6'5"x19"x68l Sunova Pilot Mid:
www.wouzel.com/post/parawinging-the-sunova-pilot-mid

any new season feedback on yr 6’5 Pilot Mid B?

It’s probably unavailable due to being a 2025 model. I did give some feedback to Sunova on this great board for parawing, their reply was that they have something similar coming for parawing, hopefully they just added a deck pad.
I’m 82kgs on the 6’5 68ltr model.

Sinker + Parawing, hard work for average riders?

Recently changed to a 14lts under my body weight for all conditions. The secret sauce is length, I often see people struggling with the nose sinking when trying to get up, extra length stops this and makes getting going simple. Some will say ‘swing weight’, but really, we are riding swell not doing wild cut backs so some extra inches isn’t an issue.
The big manufacturers haven’t worked it out yet, still too much volume in anything longer than 6ft but I’m guessing that will come next season.

Bands replaced using airsail's ebay recommendation. Thanks for info airsail. These bands feel much more comfortable and rugged. Replacing was very easy and quick. Pics below.

Lost my Suunto with this band - as only 1 pin needs to get dislodged, then it's gone it's a new technology problem the old army style strap is one piece so if you lose a pin you still have the watch attached

Garmin don’t use standard watch pins, they are thicker and stronger. The Fenix 7 and later use really thick pins, actually bloody difficult to remove.

I cover all my Alloy-Carbon joins and threads in lanolin grease. It’s cheap and easy to apply, never had corrosion or a stuck screw.

Just read the specs on the Paradox, looks like they missed the mark, too much volume in the longer boards.

Hey mate, do you have a link of where you got yours ?

Something like this
ebay.us/m/VSjPIs

You need to google how to remove the pins.

Never use the Garmin rubber watch bands for watersports, the breaking of the band is almost guaranteed over time. I have a few brand new ones removed prior to the watch being used, always replace with a webbing band, and not one of those quick fit ones either.
Never broken a webbing band or lost a Fenix, but killed a lot due to start button failure,
