It would be great to have another raceboard event like that, but things have changed a lot since 2016, I doubt we could get the same local sailor numbers or support from a supplier for rental gear for international sailors to hire like last time. Perhaps another alternative could be some kind of asia/pacific event that incorporates multiple racing classes.
I only got to sail waddy point in small waves using a windsup as there was not enough wind to use my wave board, have also explored the west coast and hervey bay on raceboards, and wave sailed rainbow beach back in the 80s. Frazer has always had a sharky reputation despite the statistics showing fewer attacks than other places, but that is probably due to lower swimmer/surfer numbers and differing marine species dynamics. Certain times of year may be more risky due to migratory habits of other sea life like whales, mullet and tailor.

New video on Exocet V7 380 raceboard just dropped on YT. I like the increased tail volume on this board compared to Phantom 377. New Loft sails also look nice.
